Come solo for a peaceful retreat or bring along friends and family for a fun and memorable outing. All skill levels are welcome! All materials – including paper, pencils, oil pastels – plus friendly guidance, will be provided.

Welcome to ages 10+ and all abilities. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Start and End: Meet at the top of Wathwood Hospital drive, Gipsy Green Lane, Wath-upon-Dearne, Rotherham S63 7TQ. Meet at the Public Footpath sign by the speed bump.

Directions: Turn into Quarry Hill Road off Sandygate A633 opposite Saint Pius X Catholic High School. After 100 yards at the Best One convenience store, turn left into Gipsy Green Lane. Continue straight on over the small speed bump.

Parking: Lots of free parking on the drive leading down to the hospital

What to bring: A drink and snack as required. Wear sturdy footwear, or footwear suitable for a walk in the woods, where we might pass uneven or wet ground. Clothing to suit the weather.

Terrain: Uneven ground with exposed roots on an undulating site.
