Join Artist Charlie Hill, Bob Boyle from Silverwood Nature Reserve and Neil Bingham from Silverwood Colliery Heritage Group at the beautiful Silverwood Nature Reserve for two days of creative making and exploring both nature and heritage at the site.
Bob and Neil will guide us through the site looking at how its transformed over the last 30+ years from an industrial colliery site to a space for nature.
Inspired by the combination of the nature and industrial heritage of the site, Charlie will help us explore the natural materials to found there and we’ll try a range of creative techniques that could include weaving, print making, mobile design, landart and using clay.
These sessions are suitable for everyone especially families, the site is very special and is quite wild in parts with some rough terrain to explore and enjoy. Please be aware that a reasonable level of fitness and mobility will be needed.
