Get ready to dance in the streets and celebrate the vibrant spirit of Rotherham at Roots Rotherham Street Carnival on April 13th (1-2pm) in Rotherham Town Centre! Join in to shine a spotlight on the beauty and importance of the River Don, accompanied by two giant puppets, Reign and Farrah the Fox. Get ready for a burst of colour and excitement with handheld puppets, interactive displays, dazzling costumes, and lively dance and music performances. 

In March and April, join professional artists in free creative workshops across Rotherham where you can craft your own aquatic and woodland creatures, drawing inspiration from the River Don.

Bring along all your family and friends for a day filled with fun and creativity:

• 16th March, 10am-1pm at St Paul’s Church, Kimberworth, Masbrough, S61 1AH
• 16th , 23rd March, 2nd April, 6th April and 9th April, 10-12pm at Greasbrough Library
• 28th March, 2nd and 4th April, 12-3pm at Manor Lodge, Brinsworth, S60 5JD
• 23rd March & 6th April, 10am-12pm at Mowbray Gardens Library, S65 2UH
• 2nd and 5th April, 11-1pm, at Canklow Pavillion
• 9th April, 10-12pm and 1-3pm, at Fitzwilliam Estate (Swinton)

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to one of the community workshops. Artists will be on hand on the 13th April from 11am in All Saint’s Square where you’ll be able to create unique artworks to carry in the procession!
