Vicky Morris

Vicky Morris is an award-winning writer, poet, editor and creative educator based in Sheffield. For 24 years she’s worked as a freelance creative practitioner and facilitator. During this time she has devised, managed and delivered numerous creative projects, courses, and programmes – in a wide range of contexts and settings – across writing, filmmaking, journalism, radio, graphic design, visual art, multimedia and photography. She has undertaken commissions as an artist and designer, a filmmaker and, in more recent years, a writer. For the past 14 years, Vicky has built young writers’ provision in South Yorkshire, founding Hive Young Writers in 2016 for writers aged 14 to 30. She runs Rotherham Young Writers and other young writers groups across South Yorkshire. In 2019 she received a Sarah Nutly Award for her impact in the region.
