Silverwood Colliery
Venues
The Silverwood Colliery is a woodland hidden within the Thybergh area of Rotherham. A former colliery site that has been reclaimed within the last ten years. The coal tip has been grassed completely and the once dangerous slurry lake turned into a freshwater nature reserve. A developing woodland that will continue to mature.

If you are looking to work with any creatives to engage children and or vulnerable adults, it is your responsibility to check the guidance on the Government Website https://www.gov.uk/find-out-dbs-check to see whether a Disclosure and Barring Service check is required. Many creatives who regularly work with communities and in schools will already be registered with the annual DBS updates service.
