Profile: Hi! I’m Maria, I am one of the Flux trainee festival makers working on the upcoming 2023-2024 events around Rotherham!

What makes me really excited about this role is getting involved in organizing events that will inspire young artists and creatives and give them hope in their own ability to succeed in the creative industry. I want to learn how to bring an idea from brainstorming to putting on a show for people to enjoy!

What Festival would you love to go to?

Favourite event I’ve been to was Color Fest in Romania. It’s a really fun and diverse event where you can enjoy local bands and musicians, get face paint, throw balloons full of colourful pigments at each other or join people skating or breakdancing. I’d love to get to go to the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans.

Most likely to be found: I’m most likely to be found at my desk working on a digital illustration while listening to music, also listening to a podcast and watching a video at the same time.
