Greasborough Park

Greasbrough Park was opened to the public in 1930. The park was developed to provide healthy recreation for the youth of the district, a quiet and pleasant place for the elderly and facilities for music and entertainment for all. Earl Fitzwilliam gifted three acres of land to Greasbrough Urban District Council to provide a pleasure park for the use of the public for all time. In order to create the park 30 local men were provided with jobs and the construction took around 5 months to complete.
