Miners’ Strike 40 Years On – Storytelling Session

Miners’ Strike 40 Years On – Storytelling Session

Join Hybrid3 at the storytelling session to share your stories and memories of the historic 1984-5 miners’ strike.

2024 marks the 40-year anniversary of the historic 1984-5 miners' strike, the largest industrial dispute the UK has ever seen.
In collaboration with Flux Rotherham, Hybrid 3 Studios has partnered with nationally acclaimed poet Ray Hearne and local residents to capture the essence of the strike events. Do you have some memories from the strike to share? The team want to hear from you! Join Ray, Matt, Alisdair, and Emily at Clifton Park Museum to record your stories for this special project.
They're looking to collect your stories and memories of that transformative year and its enduring impact. Together they'll create a lasting audio experience by combining gathered recordings and archival local folk songs of the era.
No need to book, just turn up at Clifton Park Museum between 12 and 3pm. If you can’t make it in person, you can also email the team at [email protected] or call Matt on 07760272239.
