The lanterns made will play an important role in lighting up shop windows, lamp posts and green spaces around Rotherham. As part of Safeguarding awareness week and 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. Rotherham will glow with messages of joy, love and positivity. Just turn up! 

Open to all ages and abilities, all materials will be provided.

Two workshops will take place in the afternoon of Saturday 15th November - 

1pm - 3pm - Three Cranes Pub, Rotherham Town Centre

3pm - 6pm - Rotherham Minster, as part of RMBC's Christmas Light Switch On

Access

The Three Cranes Pub is an old building (one of the oldest in Rotherham!), so it has some limitations. The doorway is narrow and has a small step. Toilets are available, but these are not step-free.

Rotherham Minster has a wide entrance and step-free access to the workshops. Toilets are available, but they are not step-free. During the Christmas Light Switch on, disabled porta-loos will be available, ask a member of staff in hi-vis for directions.
