Join textile artist Karen Hall to learn how to weave without a loom or frame.
Karen’s interdisciplinary approach will help inspire you to produce a fun piece of miniature art, suitable as wearable art or to put on display!
Loomless Weavings
Variations of this technique have been used by traditional weavers when testing their colour combinations prior to setting up the loom. Using a variety of yarns including tapestry wool and embroidery thread, you’ll have great fun playing with colour combinations and pattern, and will take home your own finished loomless weaving.
Karen Hall is a textile artist based in Doncaster and has been running workshops which engage people with the heritage and joy of making for over 12 years.
All materials for the workshop are provided and you’ll have a finished piece to take home at the end of the session.
