‘I was thrilled to be chosen to help develop the mural concept with Flux, what was really important to Flux & myself was that the community had input into what they’d see every day on the skatepark, during the Community event in August, we encouraged the locals to draw their favourite things, and what they’d like to see on the ramp. After the event I took all of the drawings & creations home, and combined all ideas that seemed to run a theme, which was mainly nature, the sports that take place at the skatepark & lots of rainbows!

Through this, the final piece was put into concept, and then on the day I had the fabulous help of Maria from Flux to help me put together the final instalment. It was truly a pleasure to work with the community to bring something bright and meaningful to Bramley Skatepark’

How to spot the artwork: Enter the park around the right side of the Bill Chafer Community Centre, and walk forward until you see the skatepark. The mural is visible at eye level on your left side on the side of the half pipe.
