A large, cast iron sculpture of a hare leaping, sitting on a stone platform.

Working collaboratively with the rangers and volunteers, Coralie and Jason devised a playfully interactive and robust sculpture. It features a leaping Hare above clouds at its feet and represents freedom after lockdown. An informal response to the idea of a covid memorial.  It’s patina developing with the passage of time and burnished by visitors’ natural tactile interactions.

How to spot the artwork: As you enter Thrybergh Country Park, take a right until you reach the Hope Fields. You can see the sculpture at eye level on the right side as you enter the Hope Fields.
