“It was such a joy to create the Clifton Watersplash mural! The brief was to design something playful around the theme of water, while celebrating a sense of place as part of the Children’s Capital of Culture.

I ran a workshop with students from Clifton Community School, using the Watersplash and Clifton Park as our inspiration. Together we explored what they loved most about the park, created collaborative drawings, and developed compositions that I later combined into one dynamic design to capture the dynamic and playful nature of the space.

Painting the mural was great fun; especially working alongside Maria from Flux. The final design celebrates the beloved Nelson the Lion who resides in Clifton Park Museum; framed by trees as he watches over the watersplash. To the left; children are having fun playing in the water, nestled in the landscape of Clifton Park. “
