Join Artist Charlie Hill, Bob Boyle from Silverwood Nature Reserve and Neil Bingham from Silverwood Colliery Heritage Group at the beautiful Silverwood Nature Reserve for two days of creative making and exploring both nature and heritage at the site.
Bob and Neil will guide us through the site, looking at how it's transformed over the last 30+ years from an industrial colliery site to a space for nature.
Inspired by the combination of the nature and industrial heritage of the site, Charlie will help us explore the natural materials to found there and we’ll try a range of creative techniques that could include weaving, print making, mobile design, land art and using clay.
These sessions are suitable for everyone, especially families.
The site is very special and is quite wild in parts, with some rough terrain to explore and enjoy. Please be aware that a reasonable level of fitness and mobility will be needed. The terrain would not be suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

There is limited parking available at Silverwood Nature Reserve, and no toilets are available on site. The ground is also uneven, making it unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
