Part of the WOW Rotherham year-round programme.
We are looking for dishes and community cooks across Rotherham. From your grandma’s flapjacks to your neighbour’s chapatis, we aim to create a menu rich with culture and stories. We want dishes that represent our town and reflect its diverse cuisines and cultures.
These dishes will be the stars of the evening (25th November afternoon and evening), inspiring performances and site dressing that will respond to the dishes. You can nominate your dish or recipe, and we’ll bring someone in to cook it for the evening. Alternatively, you can cook it yourself in a kitchen alongside other community cooks for the event.
These dishes will be sampled during our Supper Club events (dates TBC) on the high street, where artists will create menus, site dressing, and name cards based on your food in collaboration with the community. We’ll select four cooks to create a course each: appetisers, starters, mains, and desserts.
Deadline: Friday the 30th of August 2024, 5pm.
Budget: We’ll cover the cost of ingredients for the event and Supper Club, £100 gift voucher per cook and support with getting your food and hygiene if needed.
Delivery: Supper Club dates (TBC) and 25th November afternoon and evening
