To mark the 10th year of Rotherham Reclaim the Night we are looking for an artist to work with communities to create a series of artworks.
Artist Opportunity Brief – Reclaim the Night

The artworks will be carried as banners and processional pieces in the Rotherham Reclaim the Night Walk and will then decorate the inside of Rotherham Town Hall, the final meeting point on the walk.
After the walk, artworks will then be displayed in shop windows around the town centre as part of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.
The theme for this event is around ‘celebration’, celebrating the women, trans and non-binary residents of Rotherham.
We want people to walk with pride through their town centre displaying their artworks as a celebration and joy. Whatever artworks are commissioned, we would expect engagement workshops to be family-friendly, fun and accessible.
Deadline: Friday the 16th of August 2024, 5pm.
Budget: The budget for this project is £3000 for the artist’s time and installation plus up to £1000 for materials.
Delivery: Will begin W/C 30th September 2024.
